Let’s create something beautiful
I’m so excited to share that my Fall Mini Sessions are now open for booking!
Mini Sessions are a shorter portrait experience compared to my full sessions. They’re a wonderful way to have professional portraits taken in a relaxed, quick format and to update your photos with loved ones.

My Approach
Making space for connection, fun, and movement
Mini Sessions are all about keeping things simple, relaxed, and enjoyable. I know stepping in front of the camera can feel a little nerve-wracking, so I focus on creating a comfortable experience that feels more like a casual outing than a posed photoshoot.
Whether it’s playing with your kids, walking along the beach, or just sharing a laugh together, these short sessions are designed to capture natural moments as they unfold. They’re especially great for families with young kids—since the sessions are quick and engaging, little ones don’t have time to get restless or distracted.
My goal is to make space for genuine connection, so you leave not only with beautiful portraits, but also with memories of a fun little adventure.
Outfits
What to Wear & What to Avoid
Wear What Feels Like You
For mini sessions, comfort is key. With only 20 minutes together, you’ll want to feel good in what you’re wearing so you can focus on having fun instead of adjusting clothes. Try outfits on ahead of time to make sure they fit well, feel comfortable, and let you move easily. The more at ease you are, the more natural and genuine your photos will look.
Dress with Intention
Think about the overall vibe you’d like
casual and cozy, playful, or a little more dressed up. For families and groups, choose outfits that complement each other without being too matchy. A shared colour palette or similar tones helps everything look cohesive while still showing personality.
Comfort is key, especially for kids. Shoes you can move in, soft fabrics, and simple layers will make it easier to relax, play, and enjoy your session.
Keep Colours & Patterns Simple
Choose colours that complement each other like soft neutrals, jewel tones, or a few vibrant accents. Staying within the same color family keeps everything cohesive without being too “matchy.”
If one person wears a bold pattern, balance it with simpler outfits for the rest. Subtle textures work beautifully, but try to avoid large logos or characters on kids’ clothing, as they can be distracting in photos. If you’re able to, try everything on together beforehand to see how the outfits look side by side.
Add Personality with Accessories & Styling
Mini Sessions are quick, but adding a few personal touches can make them feel extra special. A cozy blanket, a hat, or even a child’s favourite toy can bring warmth and personality to family photos. For maternity portraits, a flowing scarf or jacket can add movement. And for solo portraits, simple accessories like sunglasses or a favourite book help tell your story.
These little details don’t take away from the focus, they just make your photos feel more like you.
The Start of Something Beautiful!
Things to keep in mind
-
Turnaround Time
Your gallery will be ready within 3–4 weeks after your session. From there, you’ll be able to browse through the full set of proofs and choose your 20 favorite images to keep. If you fall in love with more than 20, you’ll also have the option to purchase additional edits.
-
Starting On Time
Mini Sessions are only 20 minutes, so please plan to arrive a little early. Be sure to factor in time for parking and walking through the park so we can start right on schedule and make the most of your session. Arriving late will cut into your session time.
-
Booking Policies
Session fees are non-refundable, but you’re welcome to transfer your time slot to a family member or friend if you can’t make it. Please note that rescheduling is not available for mini sessions.
-
Weather & Rescheduling
Weather can be unpredictable, especially in the fall. For these October mini sessions, I’ve set aside October 25th and 26th as backup dates in case we need to reschedule due to poor weather.
If you’re unable to attend on the rescheduled date, your session can be transferred to a friend or family member to take your place. In the rare case that I cannot fulfill the session on either the original or rescheduled date, deposits will be returned.

Last- Minute Tips…
Now, Let’s go have some Fun!
Now that the details are covered, it’s time to relax and enjoy! Mini Sessions are quick and easy, meant to capture natural moments without overthinking.
We’ll focus on connection, movement, and letting personalities shine. Whether it’s your kids being silly, a sweet maternity moment, or you just wanting a few updated portraits. Don’t stress the little things; these short sessions are about capturing you just as you are.
You’ll walk away with beautiful, genuine photos and hopefully a little fun along the way.
